What the app processes
When you choose to record, Sleep Recorder processes microphone audio on your iPhone. It can create event timestamps, sound-energy measurements, short audio clips, on-device sound suggestions, labels you confirm, and any notes or context tags you add. Preferences such as sensitivity and retention are also stored locally.
Where your data goes
Your recordings, clips, diary entries, labels, notes, and sound patterns are not uploaded to Eutopix Labs. The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not create an account or tracking profile.
Apple may process purchase and subscription information under Apple's own policies. Sleep Recorder receives verified StoreKit entitlement information so it can unlock Premium; it does not receive your full payment-card details.
Storage and deletion
- Audio is stored with iOS file protection and excluded from device backups.
- The temporary full-night recording is deleted only after short-clip preparation succeeds. If processing is interrupted, it is retained locally so the app can retry safely.
- A completed recording with no detected moments retains no audio.
- Free diary retention is seven days. Premium offers 30-day, 90-day, or keep-forever options.
- You can delete an individual night or the complete diary from inside the app.
Permissions
Microphone access is required only to make a recording. You can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings. Sleep Recorder does not request contacts, location, advertising, or photo-library access.
Sound suggestions and health
Optional sound suggestions are produced on device using Apple's frameworks. They can be incomplete or wrong. Sleep Recorder is a personal audio diary, not a medical device, and it does not diagnose sleep apnea, breathing disorders, or any health condition.
Children
The app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information. Because no account or developer cloud is used, Eutopix Labs does not receive a child's recordings or diary data.
